What do we do? We build athletes starting as young as age 8.  We are the professionals when it comes to
Speed-Agility-Strength!  Come in for a trial session... not to see if you like it... but to see if you can handle it!
Who do we train? Training Valley currently has 36 athletes enrolled in the strength and conditioning classes from
professionals to 8 years old.  We offer 4 classes per day starting at 4pm.
Why should you train here? If you're trying to up your game or take your body to the next level, NO ONE matches
our knowledge, and you will certainly not reproduce our intensity level anywhere else.
Is this for everyone? NO!  If you are not 100% committed to becoming a better person and athlete, or if you're not
going to come in ready to work then keep your butt at home and don't waist our time!  Do you want to be great?  Are you
willing to put in the work to get there?  If so then lets rock!
11/27/09 Adult Training Classes are here!
Training Valley has added adult training classes.  They are highly
motivated strength & conditioning classes tailored towards the adult
population.  Our times are Mon - Fri, 7am, 9am, 6pm, 7pm.  If you
think your too old to deadlift then ask Sgt. Murphy how that 500lbs
he's holding feels, and yes!  Women can do 14' rope climbs... just ask
Heather.

Fran Time.
12/03/09 Core Strength at its BEST!
There are so many ways to work your core, it would take 24 hours
straight to demo all the exercises.  Modern inventions make it fun
and challenging to work your core... For example, you think lunges
are a leg exercise until you add a Reebock core board and a kettlebell
to the mix.  We put Highland gamer Wes Kiser through a core
routine that most people wouldn't be able to handle.  To see how
well he did watch the
video.

KB/Core Board routine.
12/05/09 We start at age 8!
Overhead squat with a pvc pipe.  Sounds simple right?  Then why
can't more than 10% of the High School athletes score a 3 on this
movement screen test.  Thats the benefit of getting these athletes at
such a young age.  We can build the foundation correctly, strong,
efficient, with as little asymmetries as possible.  As a strength &
conditioning coach I can not wait to see the difference in these 8,9,
and 10 year olds that started with us this young vs' their peers when
they all reach High School.  Only time will tell.
Caleb is 9 years old.  He will be a force one day!   How do we
know?  Watch this video and you tell us?
12/011/09 Wes Kiser- 700lb box squat 3 reps!!
At Training Valley the box squat is used more than any other
exercise.  There are 2 ways we use this drill, each has its own
emphasis.  The first is for speed coming off the box, the athlete
would pause on the box and when they make the commitment to
drive its explosive and fast twitch from the pause to the extension.
The second scenario is to overload the nervous system for power
lifting, which is more what we are going for in this 700lb box squat.
Wes handles 500 easily on a parallel squat but we wanted to load
massive weight on his spine so we raised his point hip flexion by
using a high box and bam... you have him moving 700lbs... 200 more
lbs than he could do otherwise!
Wes Kiser un-racks 700lbs for a 3 rep high box squat.
Jump Rope?
Challenge: How many jumps in 20 seconds and how many
double unders in a row.
